Spendzi Privacy Policy
The short version
- Everything you enter in Spendzi is stored only on your device.
- No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- We never see, sell or share your data.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store.
This privacy policy explains how the Spendzi mobile app ("Spendzi", "the app") for Android and iOS handles your information. It applies only to Spendzi. Our other apps have their own policies, listed on our privacy page.
1. Who we are
Spendzi is made by Tiny Pocket Studio, a small independent app studio based in Sweden ("we", "us"). For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Tiny Pocket Studio is the party responsible for the app. You can reach us at tinypocketstudio@gmail.com.
2. Data stored on your device
Spendzi saves the information you enter so the app can work. This includes:
- expenses you record (amounts, dates, notes and categories)
- categories and budgets you create
- your app settings and preferences
This information is stored only in the app's local storage on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to any server we operate, and we have no way to access it.
If you delete Spendzi, this data is deleted with it. If your phone's own backup feature (such as Google backup on Android or iCloud backup on iOS) is turned on, the operating system may include the app's data in your device backup. Those backups are handled by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies, not by us.
3. Data we collect
We do not collect any personal information through Spendzi. Specifically, Spendzi does not:
- require you to create an account or sign in
- collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location
- show advertising or use advertising identifiers
- include analytics, tracking or profiling tools
- sell, rent or share your data with anyone
If you choose to email us, we will receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and delete it when it is no longer needed.
4. In-app purchases
Spendzi offers optional in-app purchases. These are processed entirely by Google Play (on Android) or the Apple App Store (on iOS). We never receive your name, payment card or billing details.
When you buy something, the store gives the app a purchase confirmation so it can unlock what you paid for. This confirmation is checked on your device and is not sent to us. To restore a purchase on a new device, Spendzi asks the store which purchases belong to your store account.

5. Third-party services
Spendzi is built with the Unity game engine by Unity Technologies. Unity Analytics, Cloud Diagnostics and all other Unity services that collect data are turned off in Spendzi, so the app does not send usage or device information to Unity.
Apart from the app stores described above, Spendzi does not use any third-party services, SDKs or libraries that collect data.
6. Permissions
Spendzi does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos or location. On Android, the app may use the billing permission needed for Google Play purchases.
7. Children
Spendzi is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, and to object to or restrict how it is used. Because your Spendzi data stays on your device, you can view, change or delete it directly in the app at any time, or delete it completely by uninstalling the app.
If you have emailed us and want us to delete that correspondence, or have any other privacy request, write to tinypocketstudio@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), or with the data protection authority in your country.
9. Security
Your data is kept in the app's private storage, which other apps on your device cannot read. We recommend protecting your phone with a screen lock. Because we don't hold your data, there is nothing on our side that could be leaked.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how Spendzi handles information, for example by adding a new feature that needs data, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
